[RCCC]/English Congregation Core Values

 

1.      The goal of our ministry is to transform the [Chinese and] Asian-American community into fully devoted followers of Christ.  Our church must have an evangelistic impact on our community [Acts 1:8; Acts 6:7; Matthew 28:18-20]

2.      People matter to God and to each of the language congregations of Raleigh Chinese Christian Church [Luke 15]

3.      The word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword and its message can transform people’s lives into a new creation [Hebrews 4:12; 2 Corinthians 5:17]

4.      Ministry and evangelism must be carried out with relevance [1 Corinthians 9:22b]

5.      Everything we do for Christ must be done with excellence [Colossians 3:23-24]

6.      People must be treated gently and respectfully, and connected to a caring community [1 Peter 3:15; Acts 4:34-35]

7.      Every Christian has a God-given ministry [Ephesians 4:12]

8.      To fulfill our mission we need to step out in visionary faith and take risks for God [Hebrews 11:6]
