Upward Basketball

Upward Basketball is a program designed to give children (both boys and girls) and their families a positive sports experience by partnering with local churches to build character, self-esteem, and salvation.  The season will incorporate practice, games, devotions, and a celebration event at the end of the season.  The emphasis is on skill development and spiritual growth.

Who can play?

We welcome all 4-6th grade boys and girls in the area to sign up and play. 

RCCC Upward Season Info

In 2012 Spring, enrollment will be open for 4th, 5th and 6th grade boys and girls. Players will meet every Tuesday night, 6:15-8:30pm (January 3 2012 through March 27 2012) for 1 hour practices or games. Program includes coached practice sessions and games.

2011-2012 Schedule and Fees

  • 10/9/2011 Upward Registration Starts!
  • 10/30/2011 Early Registration ($70) ends
  • 11/13/2011 Normal Registration ($80) ends
  • 11/20/2011 Player evaluation (Mandatory for all Upward basketball players!)
  • 1/12/2012 Basketball Practice Begins
  • 1/31/2012 First Game!
  • 3/31/2012 Awards Celebration 

 

Does our league need volunteers?

We will definitely need volunteers for the 2012 season such as:
  • Prayer partners
  • Coaches
  • Referees
  • Devotion speakers
  • Time keepers
  • Gym set-up and clean-up
