40 DAYS of FAITH-BUILDING TOGETHER

Thank you for taking this 40 Day Faith-Building trip with us. We have reached our destination of praying and trusting in God to build up our faith to step out together to journey again to initiate and complete Phase 2 of the master plan of church building expansion. Phase 2 calls for building more classrooms, offices, a chapel and a large fellowship room for multi-purpose use such as eating and meetings.

The plan is to proceed with forming three committees to plan and guide our physical expansion. It was noted earlier that more supporting resource needs (financial and staffing) are required to support our growth. Relative to physical expansion, three committees will be formed to address various elements of Phase 2 expansion: one committee to plan and oversee the construction and two committees to conduct and oversee the financial generation.

These three committees are:

Building Expansion Committee: This committee is a technical committee to plan and oversee the construction of Phase 2.
Capital Fund-Giving Committee. This committee will work and oversee the giving of monetary gifts to include large and small cash, stocks and other equities. Fund-giving stresses the additional giving or contributing to the building fund beyond one’s regular tithe and offering.
Fund-Raising Committee. The eldership recognizes that some may not have any surplus material possessions to give directly to the building expansion effort and therefore should not be deterred from participating in building God’s house. These people, however, do possess talents and abilities that through the selling of their crafts, goods and services can contribute those profits to the building effort. Like Dorcas in Acts 9:36ff.
